National Secular Socety: Catholic Stereotyping?

Briefing: The NSS, a group of militant secularists, is accusing a fellow Catholic blogger of 'liv[ing] up to every stereotype imaginable – and then some'. Quite a compliment, really. It is worth noting that the opponents of Orthodox Catholicism cannot match the internet presence of its defenders, and their attempts to ask awkward questions on the blog in question, 'Catholic Mom of 10', have proved to be a damp squib.

Hat-tip to Hermeneutic of Continuity, where there is more commentary.

I followed the blog and as the commeents from catholic bloggers rolled in I was really proud. This is what Catholic blogging is about. The NSS are however not representative of atheists. They use words about themselves such as rational, reason, free thinking, but show very little of it. They use slogans and mouth words with little thought, make sweeping generalisations as though they were truly objective. It is an embarrassment ot read their literature. As I say, repectable atheists have nothing to do with them. Catholic Mom of 10, of course, stood up for herself in a most admirable manner. God bless her and her lovely children.

Pope Leo XIII's Prayer to St Michael

Holy Michael, Archangel, defend us in the day of battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust down to Hell Satan, and all wicked spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen
