Diocece of Portsmouth backs down on Motu Proprio

From CFNews: Further to our CF NEWS item 1388.16 ('Blocking of the Traditional Mass'), the much criticised article by the Diocese of Portsmouth's liturgical director Paul Inwood, telling Catholics that they were not allowed even to ask for the traditional Latin Mass - which was due to appear in the October edition of the diocesan newspaper -- will not now be published. According to reports Bishop Hollis was genuinely unaware of the contents of the article 'until the whole thing blew up in his face'. []

Pope Leo XIII's Prayer to St Michael

Holy Michael, Archangel, defend us in the day of battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust down to Hell Satan, and all wicked spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen
