Good Counsel Network needs donations

Please remember then this Advent.

From CFNews: his economic crisis does affect the Good Counsel Network in that we still have regular expenses but our income has decreased over the last few months. At the moment we are helping more than ten mothers with small amounts of food, money, baby goods and other practical help. It would be sad to think of someone having an abortion because we could not offer them the support that they genuinely need. We have also increased our advertising recently to ensure that we can compete with those who wish the young women that we help to abort their children. It is only by placing advertisements where the abortion mills advertise that we can hope to reach women who are quite set on abortion. It is surprising how quickly the decision to seek an abortion can be made. A sixteen-year-old girl phoned us yesterday asking how to arrange an abortion. When asked how many weeks pregnant she was, she said that she did not know as she had only done the pregnancy test fifteen minutes ago.

This week we have been just about able to cover most of our outgoing expenses, but we know that we will not be able to cover the expenses next week. We are therefore asking if you will be kind enough to pray a novena to St. Jude that we will receive the funding that we urgently need, and that the young girl Jane will have the courage to continue her pregnancy. We pray for all of our supporters daily in our chapel. If you would like to donate towards our work please send cheques or postal orders payable to 'The Guild of Our Lady of Good Counsel' to P.O. Box 46679, London, NW9 8ZT.

Pope Leo XIII's Prayer to St Michael

Holy Michael, Archangel, defend us in the day of battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust down to Hell Satan, and all wicked spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen
