Statue of Our Lady in Chelsea: confirmation

Briefing; Hat-tip to Catholic Rights, though we can't find the original story in Independent Catholic News. See our orginal post here.

From Catholic Rights: You may remember a couple of months back permission was being sought for the placing of a Statue of Our Lady at Chelsea Manor. The Manor was the former home of St Thomas More and was taken over by Thomas Cromwell who at that spot having brought statues of Our Lady from all over England smashed them up, lit a great bonfire and had the ashes thrown into the Thames. This will be a statue of Reparatin. The Virgin and Child wll be at the centre and on one side images of the crucifix being mocked and on the other the smashing of the images. The work is being crried out by the renowned artist Paul Day.

Pope Leo XIII's Prayer to St Michael

Holy Michael, Archangel, defend us in the day of battle. Be our safeguard against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, Prince of the Heavenly Host, by the power of God, thrust down to Hell Satan, and all wicked spirits who wander through the world for the ruin of souls. Amen
